Finally Festival

The third day of the EPF 2011 started again with water, but at this time intentionally. The participants moved to the swimming pool to compete in swimming. The results are:

The scheduled dragon boat race was cancelled in the afternoon due to the bad weather conditions. But all of us were lucky because the evening show passed off in order. The audience saw the nation’s cultural shows.
Belgium was the first on the stage. We could have heard their brass ensemble many times before, but this was the very first time to hear their whole repertoire. We would have been much poorer if we missed them. The audience were surprised at the professionalism they performed French and international songs.
They were followed by Irish folk musicians and dancers. And it was a real blow-up. The youngsters in front of the stage were cheering the step dancer ladies in a relative calm, but when an elderly gentleman entered the stage hell broke loose. He sang a song with the boys together. We had real festival finally.
The Portuguese dancers were just on time to calm down the audience a little. They provide us with lovely and delicate every day stories told in music and dance. Their show reached its peak when they invited some of the spectators to dance with.
The official program ended with the performance of a wind instrument ensemble from Luxembourg. It was a good idea to put them at the end of the day. They adopted and played many trendy song hits and the audience were dancing abandoned. A real party was on.
